THE PROBLEM OF THE DEATH

Allah appointed:
1. That the life of humankind in this earth only for the time being, as being decreed by him:
وَلَكُمْ فِي الأرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ
Meaning that: And for you in the earth had the place of the stipulation and provisions through to one period. (Q.S. Al Baqarah: 36).

2. That the actual life will for humankind be the life in the hereafter village later, as being decreed by him:
وَإِنَّ الدَّارَ الآخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُ لَو كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَْ
Meaning that: And actually the hereafter village was the actual life, if they knew. (Q.S. Al Ankabut: 64).
Because there the again good life was lasting, as being decreed by Allah:
وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى
Meaning that: And the hereafter village was good and lasting. (Q.S. Al A’la: 17).
To arrive at the hereafter village humankind must pass the main gate of the death and the waiting village, that is nature barzah, as being decreed by Allah:
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْت َ
Meaning that: Every Time that bernyawa definitely will feel the death. (Q.S. Al Anbakut.57).
وَمِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Meaning that : though rear they ad barzah till their day [in] awakening ( letter of al mu'minun : 100)
أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِكُكُمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُشَيَّدَةٍ
Meaning that: Anywhere you were, the death will definitely meet you, although you were dimahligai-palace that was very firm. (Q.S. An Nisa: 78).
As well as the death came suddenly without choosing the age, without choosing time and without choosing the place. Anyone, at any time, and anywhere, if during the death that has been determined for him (the hour of death) has come, then the death will definitely meet him, as being decreed by Allah:
وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُتَوَفَّى وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرَدُّ إِلَى أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلا يَعْلَمَ مِنْ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا
Meaning that: And a part of you will die in the young age and a part is still returned to be as low-low the age (old) so as he did not know anything again after knowing him. (Q.S Al Haj: 5).
فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
Meaning that: Then if coming their hour of death, not could they asked to be withdrawn and not also to be promoted although for a moment then. (Q.S. An Nahl: 61).
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَى أَجَلا وَأَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى عِنْدَهُ ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ
Meaning that: he that created you from the land afterwards he appointed your hour of death. (Q.S. Al An’am: 2).
Apparently to pass the main gate of the death not was easy. The prophet Muhammad SAW said, that skit him time will die that approximately be the same as was stricken by three hundred times with the sword, as being said by him:
Meaning that: the Illness approximately three hundred times of the sword blow. (HR. Ibnu Abi Dunia).
So as the Prophet Muhammad SAW personally from time to time faced died that wiped off his face with cold water while asking Allah so that to he was given by the lightness in faced died this, as being told by one hadits the Bukhari story and Muslim along with this:
Meaning that: Actually prophet Muhammad SAW will from time to time die nearby had a glass water, then he put his hands into this water afterwards he usapkan to the front of him, then he praying : Oh Lord gave to me the lightness of the illness died this. (HR. Bukhari and Muslim).
Whereas Allah informed, that the person who in the situation will die that asked Allah that he is brought back to life so that he could be charitable shaleh, that beforehand has he neglected. But his request was refused by Allah and told him to live in nature barzah until will rise later, as being decreed by Allah:
حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ
لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ كَلا إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا وَمِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
Meaning that: Through To if the death visited someone from them, he will ask, oh lord, brought me back to life came back, that I am charitable shaleh, that beforehand has I neglected, not occasionally not, actually that was words that he said, in fact behind them was barzah until their day will be generated later. (Q.S. Al Mu’minun: 99 – 100).
Because of the request that like that was refused by Allah, then he lodged the new request, that is so that his death is postponed rather for a moment, only a he could menshadaqahkan his wealths that will be left by him, so as therefore he could including the group of people that shaleh. But the request thus was refused also by Allah. Because of Allah had not postponed-Nahdatul Ulama you the death someone if his hour of death has come, as being decreed by Allah:
وَأَنْفِقُوا مِنْ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلا أَخَّرْتَنِي إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
وَلَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهَا وَاللَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Meaning that: Then he will ask, oh lord, really good if apparently you postponed my death rather for a moment, to I bershadaqah and was I from the group of people that shaleh. But Allah had not postponed the death someone if his hour of death has come, and Allah knew would anything that was done by you. (Q.S. Al Munafiqun: 10 – 11).
These articles also informed, that that became the obstacle to be able to pass the main gate of the death was, the shortage or not the existence of the good deed shaleh.
Therefore the Prophet Muhammad SAW said, that humankind that was cleverest at being that often remembered the death and that was greatest his preparations to face this death, so as he went to nature baqa by bringing the magnificence of the world and the hereafter, as being said by him:
Meaning that: Humankind that was cleverest at being that often remembered the death and that was greatest his preparations to face this death, they cleverest humankind, they went to nature baqa by bringing the magnificence of the world and the hereafter. (HR. Ibnu Majah).
Often remembered the death will cause hard-working charitable shaleh and preparations to face this death, was the good deed shaleh. Therefore, explained that that became the obstacle to passing the main gate of this death was the shortage or not the existence of the good deed shaleh. It was because of this when we wanted to be able to pass the main gate of this death sincerely, then the only effort that could be carried out by us was to increase the good deed shaleh we in the form of relations with humankind like the association and helped each other to help. If being not like this we will be insulted anywhere we were, including when was in the main gate of the death, as being decreed by Allah:
ضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ أَيْنَ مَا ثُقِفُوا إِلا بِحَبْلٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَحَبْلٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَبَاءُوا بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَسْكَنَةُ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الأنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ
Meaning that: was blamed on them the humility anywhere they were, except if they had good relationship with Allah and had good relationship with humankind. (Q.S. Ali Imran: 112).
The prophet Muhammad SAW said:
Meaning that: the Person died that was followed by three groups, his family, his wealth and his good deed, then will come back two groups, and continue to with him one group, that will come back was his family and his wealth, whated are you doing that will continue with him to be his good deeds. (HR. Bukhari and Muslim).
Therefore let's charitable shaleh after our capacity, so that we smooth passed the main gate of the death.
